Ross is a retired from textile/apparel management. His work took him to central Mexico many times yearly. He enjoyed his work, and the people that he worked with at the factory. His role as Director of Manufacturing dictated involvement in purchasing of raw materials, scheduling, liaison with the Mexican facilities and some quality auditing.
He has a beautiful and wonderful wife, Margaret, three great and beautiful daughters, three good sons-in-law and nine of the best grandchildren. He loves them all dearly and appreciates what they have added to his life.
He is an outdoor person and loves hunting, fly fishing, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking and wildlife photography. He currently is a freelance writer/photographer and contributes a weekly outdoor column to the Anderson Independent Mail in Anderson , SC. He keeps a journal and formerly wrote an outdoor/travel column for the Travelers Rest Chronicle in upstate South Carolina. He loves to write and has a published novel(Return to Oak Hill). He has three booklets related to fly fishing and travel. He has an extensive file of outdoor articles, magazine length articles, short stories and human interest articles. He is in the process of having a book of his articles published and is working on another suspense novel.
He has placed excerpts of his first novel for your to comments on this site. He will be placing articles of general interest and reprints of some of his past newspaper articles for your enjoyment on the archives page.
Ross is available for speaking engagements for civic, school and outdoor groups.
Please join him on his website and give him some comments. He would love to communicate with readers about his work.
Welcome!
