BIOGRAPHICAL
INFORMATION

Ross is a retired from textile/apparel management.  His work took
him to many interesting foreign countries.  He enjoyed his work,
and the people that he worked with at the factories.  His role as
Director of Manufacturing dictated involvement in purchasing of
raw materials, scheduling, liaison with the contract  facilities and
some quality auditing.

He has a beautiful and wonderful wife, Margaret, three great and
beautiful daughters, three good sons-in-law and nine of the best
grandchildren.  He loves them all dearly and appreciates what they
have added to his life.

He is an outdoor person and loves hunting, fly fishing, hiking,
mountain biking, kayaking and wildlife photography.  He currently is
a
freelance writer/photographer and contributes a weekly outdoor
column to the Anderson Independent Mail in Anderson , SC.
 He
keeps a journal and
formerly wrote an outdoor/travel column for the
Travelers Rest Chronicle
in upstate South Carolina.  He loves to
write and has a published novel(
Return to Oak Hill) and a book of
hunting and fishing stories (
Fly Rods, Good Dogs and
Straight-Shooting Guns
).   He has an extensive file of outdoor
articles, magazine length articles, short stories and human interest
articles.  He is in the process of writing another suspense novel.

Ross is a
featured blogger on the Greenville News website
www.upstatehuntandfish.com.  His writing will soon be appearing in
Carolinas Outdoors magazine
.  They also maintain a website at
www.carolinasoutdoors.com.

Ross is a member of the South Carolina Outdoor Press Association
(SCOPe) and Southeastern Outdoor Writers Association (SEOPA).

He has placed excerpts of his first novel for your to comments on
this site.    He will be placing articles of general interest and
reprints of some of his past newspaper articles for your enjoyment
on the archives page.

Ross is available for speaking engagements for civic, school and
outdoor groups.
